Rangers vs. Ducks Recap 3/26/2017

The Rangers lose to the Ducks 6-3.

In the first, Nash made it 1-0, putting the rangers on the board early. Eaves was able to tie it for the Ducks shortly after. Then Stepan was able to net a goal off of a pretty passing play to make it 2-1. Kesler then scored a goal to tie the game again for the Ducks. Halfway through the second Manson give the Ducks the lead, but shortly after birthday boy Skjei was able to tie the game for the Rangers. Unfortunately in the third period the Rangers fell apart and the Ducks put up 3 unanswered goals to steal the game from the Rangers.

The first two periods of this game were more back and forth and no one really had a huge edge other then the Ducks dominating on the face off dot. However, once the third started it was all Ducks. The Rangers were giving up and started to play a sloppy game. On a more positive note, Nash and Stepan are heating up. This is going to be so important come playoff time as these two get many chances each game, and need to finish for us. Zuccarello is just Zuccarello and is always a pleasure to watch on the ice. He picked up his 40th assist tonight. The rangers rolled over in the third and that’s never going to fly in this league, especially against the Ducks. We need more effort then that boys. Our Defense really needs to find its game and fast. We didn’t clinch the playoff spot tonight, however if the Islanders, Lightning, and Hurricanes lose tomorrow we will. We only need two points. Hopefully we can pick them up on Tuesday against the San Jose Sharks.

Happy Birthday, Brady Skjei!
